Magee Street trees are being handled differently due to the volume and available space.  All trees will be dwarf red maple that do not produce any seed and will not damage the street or infrastructure.  Village crews will start planting on the East side of Magee St. next week.

Utility Press Release

Press Release:

This is a very trying time not just for our Village, but a nation as a whole as we battle the caronavirus. I do realize that many are hurting and are having to sacrifice as more and more restrictions are placed upon us. These restrictions have not just hurt our businesses, but many residents as well. So that we do not make matters worse than they are, the Village will not shut any utilities off that are past due. Also, we will waive any late fees for unpaid utilities until the crisis passes. The Village is also having to adjust. The Village Office will be closed to the public starting at 4:30pm Friday, March 20th. Bills can be paid by phone, on line or dropped in our lobby box. We have been mandated to significantly reduce our work force. What this means is that we only have the minimum amount of personnel to keep our utilities operating. Staff can respond to emergency call-outs, but we want our employees to be safe and healthy as well as every resident. I would like to personally thank all the business that have cooperated with the restrictions that the state has put in place. For those business that may think about not adhering to these restrictions, remember you are putting your whole community at risk. We are a strong community and I am confident we will get through this and be back to life as normal before too long. God bless and stay safe.
